Description :
The effect of climate change scenarios on ground temperatures for Swiss Alpine permafrost regions was simulated and analysed with the model SNOWPACK (Bartelt and Lehning 2002). The impact of 2 realistic climate-change scenarios of the European ACACIA project on the snow cover and ground temperatures are presented taking into account the predicted changes in precipitation and air temperatures for the years 2020, 2050 and 2080.
