Description :
The study area is located in the Ejin region of Inner Mongolia, in the lower reaches of the Heihe River. These desert riparian forests represent an important forest resource in arid desert environments. The study of the microclimatic characteristics of the Heihe oasis will provide some basic data to understand the ecological functions of plant communities and to evaluate the environment benefit of their presence in the hyperarid zone. Furthermore, it will lay a scientific basis for the rational management and use of tamarisk and poplar forests as well as the establishment of artificial forest ecosystems.
