Changements structurels et diversification des exploitations agricoles dans la voïvodie de Poméranie occidentale comme opportunité de compétitivité dans l'Union européenne

Description :
The paper presents changes in the agriculture of west Pomeranian Voivodship (67.4 % of arable land) during the transformation time in Poland. Strcutural changes of the agriculture in this region impacted particularly property, production and space dimensions. Last years the production and productivity of the agriculture increased and has become more competitive against EU countries. Barriers and opportunities of the rural areas development in EU are presented in the paper. Among possible chances of the less Favoured Areas grounds utilization there is a possibility of energetic plants cultivation (Salix Viminalis) and usage of the biomass for local heating by municipal corporations. - (BJ)
