Geneza niemieckiej koncepcji Mitteleuropy

La genèse du concept allemand de Mitteleuropa

Auteur :
EBERHARDT, P.

Description :
History of emergence and development of the notion of Mitteleuropa (Central Europe) in German political-geographical thought. Lengthy consideration is given to the classic book by J. Partsch Mitteleuropa, published in 1904. Particular attention is devoted to the academic heritage of F. Naumann, the author of another book entitled Mitteleuropa, which was published in 1915 and presented a vision of a united Central Europe under the domination of Germany. The paper recalls the opinions voiced by K. Eichborn, K. Kautsky, R. Hilferding and the Polish economist Z. Daszyńska-Golińska. Attention is attracted to the fact that the notion of Mitteleuropa took on a multiplicity of meanings in both the political and geographical senses. - (BJ)
