Description :
The emission inventories performed in the frame of the ESCOMPTE program have required important means in regards to the goals of both the ESCOMPTE program and to the regional scale air quality management. This database concerns an investigation domain of 140x140 km2 centered around Marseille's urban unit with a spatial resolution of 1x1 km2. The time resolution is yearly for 1999 and hourly for the intensive observation periods (IOPs) of the measuring campaign of 2000 and 2001. this database, which includes both all anthropogenic and biogenic emissions of about 170 chemical compounds, has been completed in parallel with actualization and management software procedures and already constitutes an operational tool for the management of the atmospheric environment. The purpose of this communication is to presente and to discus the results of the ESCOMPTE inventories obtained since the end of 1999 and to briefly describe the further applications. - (BJ)
