Description :
This study examines the effects of environmental factors important for temporal trends in soil CO2 respiration and soil carbon stock in grass savanna compared with three groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) fields of various age in the semi-arid part of Senegal. The study focuses on soil respiration resulting from seasonal trends in soil temperature and water contents and to which extent cultivated sites deviate from natural savanna sites.
