Geomorphological evolution of longitudinal river profiles in the Carpathians

In this paper, attention is focused on the concavity of the stream profile. On this basis, the AA. tried to determine the evolution of some Eastern Carpathian rivers of Romania and thus estimate their long-term evolutionary tendencies. They demonstrate that age has no influence on the form of the longitudinal profiles for the rivers on the exterior side of the Carpathians. This is because tectonic uplift was important, and this phenomenon is still present today.
