The glaciers could be defined as geomorphosites when their scientific knowledge is joined to the knowledge of their importance for mankind. In particular their value must be deepened from many points of view or attributes (cultural, social and economic, panoramic and, of course, scientific). The levels of local, regional, national or world-wide interest and the appraisal of their conservation degree must also be considered.
