Description :
This investigation has 3 main objectives : first, to reconstruct the 1995 flood using a combination of geomorphological, sedimentological and archive evidence; second to examine the available field evidence to determine the long-term flood history of the site (thus providing a context for the 1995 flood event); and finally, briefly to evaluate the engineering works and management strategies used following the 1995 event.
