According to the comprehensive analysis of topographical characteristics, climate conditions, vegetation distribution and hydrological features, the source region ranges of the Yangtze and Yellow rivers for eco-environmental study are delimited completely by synthesizing various factors on the basis of previous studies and the forty-day field investigations in 2001.
