Description :
This paper presents the results of the first measurements and calculations of the energy used in the process of snow-melt on the surface of the Mięguszowiecki Glacieret - the largest firn-ice form in the Polish Tatra Mountains. The investigations were carried out during periods of both, major solar declinations and heavy cloudiness and precipitation. The field-work made use of a Campbell Scientific automatic meteorological station. - (BJ)
