Changements quantitatifs de lacs kettle et autres lacs localisés dans le Chelminskie Lakeland à la lumière de matériaux cartographiques des 19 et 20ème siècles

Description :
The study comprised the Chełmińskie Lakeland together with the neighbouring Vistula and Drwęca valleys of a typically farming character. The authors performed detailed examinations of the archival and contemporary cartographic materials in 1:25000 scale dating from three periods : 1868-1873, 1912-1917 and 1973-1982. Apart from the changes to the number and area of the lakes, the authors defined the location of these lakes in major morphological formations and with respect to the management of their catchments (farmlands, shrubs, forest areas, meadows, pastures, and marsh). Considerable changes in the spatial distribution of the kettle lakes and other lakes were recorded. Their number tripled from 826 up to 2335, mainly kettle lakes (from 591 up to 2058, which makes up 97,2% of new objects) - (BJ)
