The introduction of market economy after 1989 changed the situation on the labour market contributing to the coming into existence a category of people - unemployed. The difficult situation on the labour market in the whole economy has its reflection also in the rural areas of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship, where the unemployment level was higher than the average for the whole country. In all of the districts in the Province (except the Aleksandów district) an increase in the unemployment was observed in comparison to the value in 2000 in rural areas. The analysis of unemployment in the country, examined from the point of view of the period of service showed that 26% of people out of work have no professional experience at all. - (BJ)
