Description :
The process of taking over state lands by inhabitants of towns is a new form of agrarian transformation in Poland. The authors analysed this phenomenon on the basis of lands managed by the agricultural Property Agency of the State Treasury (APA) in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship. It has been pointed out that contractors from towns leased or purchased 57 000 ha the state-owned lands, i.e. 23 % of the total area belonged to the APA. - (BJ)
