The article concerns stimulation of non-agricultural activities in the rural areas via tourism development. In the Chojnice poviat there are many lakes and forests. Tourism may stimulate non-agricultural activities in this area doing to Zaborski Lanscape Park, the national park Bory Tucholskie and part of the Tucholski Landscape Park. Very often tourism is the only way to earn money and to provide for the family in the rural areas. However, the big number of agrotourist farms in this area, worsening economic situation of the inhabitants, and rising payments cause this activity to become less and less profitable. - (BJ)
