Développement de la construction de logements dans les zones rurales

The present paper pays attention mostly to some new aspects of contemporary housing construction connected with its heterogeneous spatial and structural development and with its role in transforming rural settlement systems. The analysis conducted shows that the development of new housing construction is an important factor influencing the growing differences in living standard of rural population in Poland. The disproportions between regions are constantly growing. Settlements located closer to cities or in areas with especially attractive natural features develop much faster than territories located far from main transportation routes and larger urban centres. In some areas, new housing construction has practically disappeared. - (BJ)
