The research conducted over a few years in rural areas of the seaside regions shows that the transformations, which took place in all forms of private farms, resulted in changes of agricultural production that have not always been positive, especially in animal breeding. The lack of proper technical, financial and educational infrastructure is also a problem. Resaerch conducted in rural areas of seaside regions shows also that an exceptionally important direction of activity is child and youth care. The 1990's brought important changes in terms of the aging rate of rural population in seaside regions. - (BJ)
