Processus démographiques dans les zones rurales

The aim of this paper is to identify and evaluate the population processes and phenomena in the rural areas. The deliberations refer to the subject of migration and natural movement, level of education and educational system in the country, as well as professional activity of rural inhabitants. The analysis of statistical data and a survey conducted in over one thousand rural households shows, that in the last decade, the number of people migrating from the villages to the city became smaller, but the phenomenon continues to occur, most often in peripheral areas. In the neighbourhood of big agglomerations, a reverse process is taking place. - (BJ)
