Le concept de limite entre les civilisations latine et byzantine en Europe

The article presents the output of the scientific literature devoted to the genesis and distribution of different civilisations. Reference is here made to the scientific work of F. Koneczny, P. Bagby, F. Braudel, A.J. Toynbee and S.P. Huntington. An outline demarcation of the boundary dividing the european continent into two parts is then made. This boundary runs from the Barents Sea to the Adriatic : situated to the west of it are the nations linked with the western legacy of Latin pedigree, while to the east are those associated with the Byzantine tradition, and later on with Moscow. - (BJ)
