La géographie des sols comme discipline de la géographie physique

The article presents soil geography as a developing scientific discipline, and an attempt is made to define it as a branch of knowledge that is a sub-discipline of geography, as well as to determine its objects of study and scientific paradigm and to point to the linkages betwenn it and other spheres of knowledge. It is emphasized that soil geography has better chances than ever before to become a progressive geographical sub-discipline that is working towards nomological science status, with a view to its formulating general theories in regard to the spatial differentiation to soil cover. - (BJ)
