Quantifying soil erosion by water in the UK : a review of monitoring and modelling approaches

Auteur :
BRAZIER, R.

Description :
The range of soil erosion monitoring experiments and related data collection in the UK is discussed with particular reference to water erosion. This paper aims to highlight the limitations of comparing data collected at different scales and outlines the advantages of each approach in terms of aiding model development. The wider picture of soil erosion in the UK is summarized and the need for further observed data for model evaluation purposes, collected within an integrated monitoring and modelling framework is then argued.
