This paper assesses the success and sustainability of community-based natural resource management in the Okavango Delta. With illustrations from three projects it shows that local communities have the leadership to participate and derive benefits from the projects. Deficiencies in local entrepreneurship are identified and solutions suggested. - (AJC)
