For four decades David Preston has written about the transformations in Andean America, particularly agrarian and rural change. In the 1980s he was a Senior Research Fellow at Australian National University and studied household livelihoods and agriculture in Southeastern Asia. He is now a Senior Fellow in the Department of Geography at the University of Leeds, where he has taugh for 35 years. - (SLD)
