Auteur :JOZWIAK, J.
Description :
The contemporary approach to study of links between population growth and the environment requires considering population as an endogenous variable of a three-element system of population, environment and development. The article focuses on these demographic processes which are mutually interrelated with environmental impact : changes in population size and structure, especially population ageing, urbanization and poverty in different regions of the world in level of economic development. The most important conclusion resulting from the analysis is that though general trends in population changes are similar in all regions of the world, their pace is uneven. - (BJ)
