Soil seed banks on Argentine seminatural mountain grasslands after cessation of grazing

AA. studied seed banks and above-ground vegetation in sites ungrazed for 22 years and in 3 different grazed sites in seminatural grasslands in central Argentina. Grazing changed species abundance and vertical structure, but did not cause a loss of species. Seed bank richness, diversity, and abundance were found to have decreased significantly during grassland succession following the cessation of grazing. - (SLD)
