Traditional chinese site selection-Feng Shui : an evolutionary/ecological perspective
Auteur :HAN, K.-T.
Description :
A brief history of Feng Shui and the ideal features of a Feng Shui site, including Ch'i, are reviewed. Then the A. argues that Feng Shui has evolutionary and ecological values for selecting optimal human habitats. Much of Feng Shui's folk wisdom is likely not pure superstition but a holistic approach to site selection. A synthesis of ancient Eastern and modern Western perspectives, which are more in tune to cultural perspectives, might provide a more comprehensive understanding of landscapes. - (SLD)
