Piping and pipeflow in a deep peat catchment

Auteurs :

Description :
This paper presents the results of a pipeflow study in a deep blanket peat catchment of the North Pennines, UK. Automated gauging has been done on 10 pipe sites (on 8 separate pipes), 2 seepage zones, a drainage ditch, a gully and on streamflow for a 5 month period from July to December 1999 covering 14 large storm events and a range of high and low flows. It extends the range of catchments where pipeflow has been studied in detail and enables the processes of runoff generation in blanket peat catchments to be more fully assessed.
