Description :
In this study, an integrated geochemical and in-situ GRS survey was conducted at 2 sites in Hong Kong where tuffs of varying weathering states were exposed. Field description of rock materials and sampling for elemental analyses were conducted at 57 locations, while in-situ GRS measurements were carried out at 35 of the sites. The variations in the radioelement concentrations with increasing extent of weathering were also studied in order to attain a better understanding of the mobility of the 3 elements, K, U and Th, during the different stages of the weathering process.
