Basin hydrologic response to changes in climate and land use : the Conestoga river basin, Pennsylvania

Auteur :
CHANG, H.

Description :
This paper examines, by developping climate change and land-use change scenarios combined with a hydrologic simulation model, how streamflow will change in a basin that is expected to experience both climate and land-use changes. It will also examine how changes in the amount of mean annual and monthly streamflow differ across watersheds of different size under various scenarios. To estimate the hydrologic effect of climate change and land-use change, a GIS-based conceptual hydrochemical model (AVGWLF) is applied for a medium-sized watershed in the humid temperate climate of the northeastern United States.
