Author investigates the effects of military strategy and geographical conditions on transport policy in Hungary in the interwar period. Due to the Trianon Peace Treaty Hungary lost major part of its former territories and the transport geographical conditions of the country was fundamentally changed. Between the two world wars Hungarian military leadership paid a great attention to the development of transport opportunities and utilisation of existing transport capacities, when preparing military plans. - (JS)
