Micro- and mesoclimatology

Auteur :
ARNFIELD, A.J.

Description :
This report reviews climatological literature for 2001. Most of the material cited is micro- and mesoscale, with some excursions into regional scales where those studies employ the concepts and methods characteristic of smaller scale approaches. The emphases chosen for this year's review are exchanges of carbon dioxide, water vapour and other trace gases between the Earth's surface and the atmosphere (especially for vegetation canopies) and the microclimatic processes and microclimates of snow- and ice-covered surfaces.
