Topoclimatic investigations provide examples of the differenciation of the values of particular meteorological elements depending on the altitude above sea level as well as the form and covering of the terrain. What should be stressed is the possibility of occurence of ground frosts in the highest part of the Bieszczady at the height of the vegetation season. On the uncovered Bieszczady ridges the intensive cooling of the human body may occur, even in the middle of the summer tourist season. - (BJ)
