Description :
Geological and geomorphological patterns of the Bonn area are responsible for disposition for landsliding. The disposition was reinforced in the 19th century by mining activities, and in the 20th century by building houses on the slopes. Although there is a strong human impact in the Bonn area, precipitation events are responsible for the temporal occurrence of landslides in the Bonn area, precipitation events are responsible for the temporal occurrence of landslides in the Bonn area. The amount of rainfall between 1900 and 1990, as well as typical rainfall patterns inducing landslides were analysed.
