This paper presents the results of a fieldwork and the subsequent laboratory analysis of collected samples on the King George Island. As participant of the 22nd Polish Antarctic Expedition one of the authors studied the process of mass movements on two samples areas. Mass movement is the most important process of the geomorphologic evolution on the glacier free surfaces (oases) on the Antarctic islands. - (JS)
