Biogeomorphic controls on sedimentation and substrate on a vegetated tidal freshwater delta in upper Chesapeake Bay

Description :
To track delta changes over the seasonal to interannual time scale, inorganic and organic sedimentation rates were monitored biweekly and time averaged to obtain seasonal estimates that could be related to seasonal vegetation patterns, topography, and substrate characteristics. Time-averaged seasonal data were used to investigate spatial patterns in both physical and ecological variables on the delta and to identify possible geomorphic controls on such patterns.
