Description :
This study uses relicts of Pleistocene sediments and paleosols scattered throughout the Southern Negev Desert to reconstruct the Early to Middle Pleistocene tectonic deformation. The structural and morphological positions of these relicts is examined in relation to the main structural elements in the area and to the present drainage network. The transition from Early to Late Pleistocene drainage patterns is then reconstructed in light of the tectonic activity along the main fault systems in the area and the regional epirogenic movements.
