Contested identities : human-environment geography and disciplinary implications in a restructuring academy
Auteur :TURNER, B.L.
Description :
From the 19th-century, the identity of geography has been highly contested. Variants of two basic identities have dominated this struggle : geography as a spatial-chorological approach and geography as the human-environment subject. From its modern foundation, geography has designated itself a science, and it prospers less when this role diminishes.
