Relationship between erosion and sediment yield in drainage basins of loess gully-hilly areas

Auteur :
CHEN HAO,

Description :
In light with hydrological data obtained from Dalihe drainage basin in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, this paper discusses the following issues : relationships between erosion of large, medium and small drainage basins with sediment yield from individual rainstorm event; function of runoff and dynamic mechanisms that influence delivery ratio in the drainage system; and hydrologic and geomorphologic characteristics and synthetic impact of runoff silt-laden capacity on sediment delivery ratio. Studies of these issues will be benefical to the reveal of sediment erosional, transportational and depositional laws of a drainage system and decision-making for controlling soil and water loss.
