The towns that coal built : the evolution of landscapes and communities in Southern Colorado

Auteur :
KEANE, J.L.

Description :
A study of coal minig and coal minig towns in the counties of Las Animas and Huuerfano from the late 1880s, when such mining there started, to the present. Almost entirely abandonned between 1915 and 1930, the usually small mines and the towns once supported by them have left little impact on the landscape. A. also discusses the city of Pueblo to the north, the main destination for the coal. - (SLD)
