Auteur :ROWNTREE, L.
Description :
Because of geography's tradition in studying human-environmental interaction, one would expect the discipline to play a strong role in environmental and resource study programs in western universities ; however, that is not the case. A. reviews state of resource studies before and after Erath Day 1970. The programs offering resource/environmental studies, in the APCG region at least, educate twice as many students as do geography departments. A. calls on geography to increase its involvement with such interdisciplinary programs. - (SLD)
