Phoenix : the newest latino immigrant gateway ?

Latinos are increasingly establishing themselves in novel parts of the USA. A. focuses on recent immigrants to Phoenix from Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, and southern Mexico as well as secondary migrants from California. Her study is based on in-depth interviews with 60 immigrants, field notes, and discussions with community leaders and business owners. Immigrants in Phoenix were not clustered by ethnicity and many had relocated from their original destination there. - (SLD)
