Description :
The aim of this paper is to present a tentative reconstruction of temperature and precipitation changes over the Younger Dryas (YD) and early Holocene periods using both pollen and lake-level data obtained at Le Locle, Swiss Jura. The site of Le Locle provided a detailed continuous record of the vegetation and lake-level changes over a large part of the YD period (Greenland Stadial 1), the YD-Preboreal transition, and the first half of the Holocene. The record also documents hydrological oscillations possibly associated with 2 major final deglaciation events, the Preboreal oscillation.
