Description :
The process of integration into the European Community through the formation of cross-border regions and transport corridors makes the state border gradually defunct, decreasing their barrier role. Still the benefits of opening the borders with the stress on its integration function cannot be achieved without synchronized transport development. For SEE countries, the top priority project would be the formation of the pan-European transport corridors. Six of ten corridors pass through the territory of South Eastern Europe. The formation of this network has a sits ultimate goal functional interregional integration with simplified and accelerated transport lines. - (IfL)
