This paper presents an analysis of the possible interplay between rainfall, surface erosion and the rates at which landscapes change over various temporal and spatial scales. The AA. present denudation rates on hillslope interfluves and high-altitude catchments for the tectonically active western western slope of the central Andes (northern Chile).
