Lithological conditioning of landslides and climatic changes with examples from the beskidy Mts, Western Carpathians, Poland

The paper presents the results of geomorphological, geological and palynological investigations carried out in the area of Szymbark and Koszarawa, Beskid Niski and Beskid Zywiecki Mts, respectively (Western Carpathians, Poland). In particular, the investigations focused on the flow-like landslide form at Maslana Gora Mt. This form is the outstanding feature due to its size. Moreover, it well illustrates the environmental changes that are related to wet climate, and exemplifies landscape sensitivity. - (NF)
