Evaluation du programme Ville sociale - présupposés, manières d'agir et composantes

In 1999 the german Federal Government initiated the programme Social City together with the federal states. The programme aims to counteract the socio-spatial division within the cities and the related negative development of socially disadvantaged urban quarters in a comprehensive way. After four years during which the programme has been in operation, the interim assessment provides a well-founded evaluation of this new and integrative programme approach. In the article the background, the motive and the objective of the interim assessment as well as its major elements are presented. Furthermore first impulses and general directions for the future realization of the programme are indicated in an outlook. - (IFL)
