Description :
This study aims to fill the gap that exists in the knowledge of the influence individual plants and their morphology have on controlling soil erosion. The objective is to determine the relative efficiency of these representative species of the Mediterranean shrubland in reducing soil loss and runoff volume at the micro- (plant) scale, and to determine its interaction with plant morphology and rainfall characteristics. The experimental area of El Ahorcado is located in the Municipality of Cofrentes (Valencia Province, east Spain).
