Experimental determination of saltating glass particle dispersion in a turbulent boundary layer

Description :
In this study, the dispersion of solid glass particles over a flat bed and over a two-dimensional triangular ridge is investigated experimentally by visualizing the wind-blown particles. After a brief description of the experimental facility, the AA. will present the particle concentrations and velocities inside the saltation layer and hence, all the experimental statistical properties. Three different wind velocities were studied in the case of a flat bed whereas one fluid velocity was considered over the ridge.
