The AA. focus on the spatial cluster characteristics of forest tree mortality in the state of Georgia by using permanent plot data from the 1989 and 1997 FIA inventories, spatial scan statistic and semivariogram analysis methods, and geographic information system (GIS) techniques. Eight kinds of tree damage, possibly combined with other kinds damage.
