The importance of peat bogs are assessed from the balneology, gardening and agriculture or for the formely energy perspectives, or from the landscape evolution in the Holocene (hydrological function, refugium of glacial relicts, etc). The lakes were chosen on the basis of field research, conducted in 2002-2003. - (MS)
